LLRIB Education looks forward to welcoming all students back to school. While much has changed in our region in the last year, LLRIB education remains committed to protecting our students, staff and school communities by providing safe learning and working environments.
We are proud of the work of our staff members and commitment to the students during the last school year. Our schools -both face to face and online -were responsive to their communities. Staff members followed protocols and modelled those for our students. Our students showed great resilience and learned what it truly means to be part of a community.
We learned a lot from our experiences in the past 18 months and we are carrying these lessons forward into the 2021-2022 school year. We remain committed to the following three goals: Protect the health and well-being of our students, staff and families; provide quality educational opportunities and instruction; and community engagement and connections are maintained and strengthened with students and families.
All school will offer in class daily learning starting September 2nd, 2021. LLRIB schools will have several safety measures in place, which will significantly reduce the possible transmission of Covid-19. These measures are as follows:
• Mask are mandatory inside the school, including all staff and visitors;
• Daily temperature checks and screenings for all staff and students;
• If your child is feeling sick, please keep them at home;
• Proper hand hygiene expectation;
• Continued focus on cleaning and disinfection;
Along with prioritizing student and staff safety, our return to school plan will minimize disruptions to learning so students can continue to attend in class.
LLRIB education supports the LLRIBHS vaccination program. Vaccination is the most effective measure our community can take to protect one another. We strongly recommend all eligible students, staff members and community members get the Covid -19 vaccine.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools. If we continue to work together, we can keep our
students safe and have a successful year of learning.
Sincerely,
Josy Roske
Director of Education
